Australian-made chrome 70mm Tow Ball
In recent years, our team has noticed that more Australians are using 70mm tow balls.
Traditionally, the most common drawbar coupling was the 50mm type (like the AL-KO electric coupling). However, many new trailers and caravans have a 70mm ball coupling due to the increased need for higher weight ratings.
Standards for towing equipment depend on the intended ATM. In short, an increase in ATM equals an increase in standards.

As an engineering steel, 4140 is universally known for its strength and robust composition. Given Australia’s harsh towing conditions, 4140 steel provides the necessary mechanical properties to ensure stability and security.
