2t – 3t Caravan Seal

2t Caravan Bearing Seal for hubs requires care during insertion. Seals have a small spring inserted under the lip of the seal.

When replacing or re-packing bearings, be sure to replace the seal. In most cases, seals are damaged once removed.

To summarise the video, apply grease to the seal journal before insertion. The seal’s inner rubber lip must first be lubricated to prevent premature wear.

2t Landcruiser Metal Bearing Seal for hubs requires care during insertion into the hub. On some seals, a small spring is inserted under the seal’s lip.

Note: Exercise care not to dislodge this spring from under the lip.

Bearings are often destroyed by their spring when it inadvertently becomes dislodged.

Careful smear a small amount of grease on the axle profile before inserting the hub over the axle.

Seals with rubber outer coverings are more difficult to insert into the hub. As a result, we recommend always using seals with an outer metal ring.
