Blue Ribbed Wobble Roller 4 x 3
Why are some blue ribbed wobble rollers are cheap by comparison? Good question. The construction of wobble rollers vary from prime resin material to recycled resin material, some with UV and some without UV. A cheap wobble roller could have no UV resin and is made from recycled drink bottles as opposed to a virgin resin and prime UV resistant resin.
So there is the difference why wobble roller prices vary. Wobble rollers made from non-virgin resins are likely to crack and fade likely fail prematurely.
Select the correct wobble roller for your spindle.
- 20mm ID suits 18mm spindle
- 25mm ID suits 22mm spindle
The shaft for wobble rollers should be 3mm smaller than the ID of the wobble rollers.
The choice between ribbed wobble roller and smooth wobble rollers is a personal preference with no difference other than design.
Consideration should be given to two components for all boat rollers on your trailer.
- Vertical load capacity.
- Shock load horizontal capacity.
Vertical load capacity deals with the total number of rollers per craft. Rule of thumb is, the more, the better.
Horizontal impact capacity has never been a consideration however clearly, the shift away from 25mm solid stem to 40mm tube stem has a lot to do with horizontal impact.
Where ever possible, install 40mm tube brackets or larger.
