Alko Caliper bush is stainless steel. The outer and inner caliper bush operate by allowing the caliper to slide as the disc pads become worn.
Stainless bush fit all Alko mechanical calipers.
Inner bushes are almost never required to be replaced except when they have been greased. (note: do not grease this bushes).
The Caliper bush is made from stainless steel as has the outer caliper bush. The outer caliper bush has been pressed into the casting.
These caliper bushes work in conjunction to allow the caliper body to slide closer to the disc rotor as the disc pads begin to wear.
If your anchor plate has been welded correctly, the caliper should ideally be sitting halfway over the bush when new pads are inserted. If the caliper is sitting back off-centre a bit, no problem. Still plenty of slide.
