HQ Holden stud pattern is found on older caravans with 10-inch electric or disc brakes. Drum brakes are rated to 1000kg with Lm Holden Bearings and 1450kg with slimline bearings.

Older braking systems do not suffer brake efficiency over time. in other words, old age does not impact braking systems.

If you discover your brakes are not as efficient these days, there are three things you can do, they are

• Upgrade the wiring to 6mm, minimum.
• Replace the electric backing plates.
• Replace the drums with new drums.

HQ Holden stud pattern is 5 x 7/16 inch studs with a P.C.D. of 4.5 inch

• 10-inch Electric Backing Plate Left
• 10-inch Electric Backing Plate Right
• 10-inch Electric Off-Road Backing Plate Left
• 10-inch Electric Off-Road Backing Plate Right

Brake controllers do not wear over time. They work or they open circuits. If an open circuit event occurs, the brake controller needs replacement. An open circuit is a loss of continuity with the brake controller.
