6.0t ATM Galvanised Bow Shackle – Suit 13mm Tow Bar Chain
Bow shackles are often used instead of D-Shackles on off-road trailers, caravans, and camper.
Selecting the right bow shackle for your application (such as rating and size) is important, as undersizing/oversizing can lead to complications. Couplemate™ recommends this galvanised bow shackle for applications over 2500kg but not exceeding the 6000kg ATM capacity.
For the trailer side, the Couplemate™ CM551-3 Safety Chain Holder is a popular drawbar connector.

D-Shackles vs Bow Shackles | Which is Best for Off-Road & 4WD?
Bow Shackles are very similar to D-shackles in that they connect the trailer chain to the drawbar through a rated pin. However, due to their design, Bow Shackles are better for off-road caravans, trailers, and campers.
The shape of a bow shackle offers better, more even chain articulation and spread.
