You’ll also receive all the nuts, bolts, washers, mount plates, and standard small parts needed.
What is the axle length? Is there a standard length?
There’s no “standard” beam length for trailer and caravan axles.
Your ideal length will depend on your chassis, your tyres, your ATM… just to name a few!
If you’ve never replaced an axle:
Take a look at our digital axle drawing (Couplemate™ Digital Axle) which covers the main measurements.
Depending on your goals, you might not need all the measurements. For example, our team will only need:
- “T” (Tip-to-Tip): Simple axle swaps with no changes.
- “F” (Face-to-Face): Axle swaps with just a bearing profile change.
- “B” (Backspace), “C” (Outside Chassis), and “TC” (Tyre clearance): Axle swaps with just a tyre change.
If you’re looking to change multiple parts of your axle, or you’re looking to build a trailer from the ground-up, it’s best to provide all the measurements you can.
