Combination Pintle Hook with 50mm Tow Ball

Combination pintle hooks are popular in the towing industry as they provide convenience. With one product, you can tow multiple types of trailers without needing to switch out towing devices.

Pintle Hook Specifications

50mm ball coupling (maximum ATM of 3500kg).
75mm ring coupling (maximum ATM of 6000kg).

For off-road use, ensure you reduce the above capacities by 25% and use a swivel-type coupling.

N.B. Ensure the coupling used is compliant with AS 4177 and ADR 62/02. Do not exceed the stated capacities.

Mounting Instructions

First, fit the pintle hook to a clean, flat vertical surface.
The mounting surface must be sufficiently strong to support more than the unit’s highest-rated capacity.
Then, use the four 1/2″ bolts, nuts, and spring washers and tension appropriately.
If longer bolts are required, ensure they are high-tensile grade 8 and fit with high-tensile grade 8 nuts and suitable spring washers.
Do not use Nyloc nuts with this component.

N.B. The mounting bolt hole dimensions are 85mm x 45mm (centres).
