Shop Weld Rings for Trailer & Caravan Brakes

Weld rings are used on trailer and caravan axles to attach your braking mechanism to your axle. In most instances, it refers to the mounting plate for backing plate assemblies. (If you are looking for caliper mounts, see Anchor Plates).

Couplemate™ stocks a variety of drum brake mount plates to suit:

• Hydraulic backing plates,
• Electric backing plates, and,
• Mechanical backing plates.

The type you need for your setup large depends on the size of your axle and brake hubs. For example, a 45mm square axle with 10-inch electric brakes will require a different plate than a 39mm round axle with 9-inch hydraulic.
