Australian Made Chrome 70mm Tow Ball
In recent years, our team has noticed that more and more Australians use 70mm tow balls.
Traditionally, the most common drawbar coupling was the 50mm type (like the AL-KO electric coupling). However, many new trailers and caravans have a 70mm ball coupling due to the increased need for higher weight ratings.
Standards for towing equipment depend on the intended ATM. In short, an increase in ATM equals an increase in standards.
As a Queensland-based manufacturer, it’s important to us that all Couplemate™ components meet and exceed these quality standards. Given the increase in heavier vehicles and ATMs on Australian roads, this matters more now than ever.
