Kit Contents and Features
A typical galvanised U-bolt kit designed for trailer suspension will come with several components:
Four ElectroGal U-Bolts: Precision-manufactured in the appropriate size and shape (round or square) for a specific axle.
Eight Galvanised Nuts: High-quality nuts, often nylock nuts, for secure fastening.
Eight Galvanised Washers: Usually flat washers, spring washers, or both, which help prevent loosening due to vibration.
Two Non-Galvanised Axle Pads and Two Galvanised Slotted Fish Plates: These are included in most trailer kits to provide proper seating for the axle, evenly distribute clamping force, and prevent damage to the leaf springs.
