Trailer reflectors are an essential part of road vehicle safety. Regulations for caravan reflectors change depending on whether you live in Australia or New Zealand, as well as what state you’re in.
For Australians, reflectors are covered in multiple sections of the Australian Design Rules (ADR). While not an exhaustive list, reflectors appear in:
- ADR 47 – Retroreflectors
- ADR 49 – Front and rear position (side) lamps, stop lamps and end-outline marker lamps
- ADR 74 – Side marker lamps
Reflector Specifications
Reflectors have a strong adhesive on the back for easy installation.
It is common for camper trailers and caravans to have two white reflectors at the front.
