This LED number plate light features four bright LEDs to adequately illuminate your rear caravan or trailer number plate, even underwater.

Quite often, installing new lights causes the tow vehicle to flicker.
Flickering is a serious issue, as the onboard computer will report it to your dashboard.
The onboard computer measures the angle, wattage, and voltage drop of the newly installed lamps. It is quite likely the new LEDs fall outside the computer specifications.
The best remedy, used by many tow bar installers, is to install a new ECU (electronic control unit) to control the LED light kit.

- Because LEDs draw significantly less power than traditional halogen bulbs, some modern vehicles equipped with sensitive CANBUS systems may trigger a warning light. If this occurs, installing a simple plug-and-play load resistor or disabling PWM via OBD coding will quickly resolve it.
- What are the legal wiring and mounting rules for number plate lights?
- To comply with transport regulations, the light must safely illuminate the rear registration plate so it is clearly readable from 20 metres at night. The mounting plane should run parallel to the plate surface, and the light emitted must remain pure white.
