Will this ring coupling work for my application?

• Your towing vehicle must always be heavier than your towed vehicle.
• Even if your trailer is rated to 10 tonnes, this pintle ring will not work if your truck is 10 tonnes or under.
• Your D-value is more important than the 10-tonne rating. 10-tonne determines the absolute upper limit: your d-value determines the actual rating.

What’s included in the box?

• 1 x COUPLING-RING-255
• Not Included: 4 x M16 high-tensile bolts for the trailer drawbar, base plate (required to use this ring coupling)

How do I install this ring coupling?

• Fit the coupling onto your drawbar’s base plate with four M16 high-tensile bolts.
• This ring coupling requires a base plate to be welded onto your drawbar, if you do not already have one.

How durable is this coupling?

• This ring coupling is made of ductile iron 500/12. Its yield strength is 500. Its elongation is 12%.
• This yield strength results in less wear: your coupling won’t wear faster than your pintle hook.
• Elongation refers to the amount of flex something has before it breaks. This ring coupling has a small amount of flex.

Coating

Black powder coating. A coating that is more resistant to damage as a result of:

• impact
• moisture
• chemicals
• ultraviolet light
• Other extreme weather conditions

How do I maintain this ring coupling?

• Ensure you regularly torque the bolts on the Coupling-Ring-255 and inspect the coupling ring for signs of wear.
