How to Install (Step-by-Step)
- 1. Measure clearance and length: Calculate the exact length of the 13mm chain needed to facilitate full-lock vehicle turns without pulling tight, ensuring it remains short enough to catch the drawbar before it strikes the ground during a breakaway event.
- 2. Position and weld heavy-duty lugs: Position a heavy-duty G80-rated safety chain holder near the coupling and have a certified welder secure it structurally to the trailer drawbar to withstand the full 10.6T ATM rating forces.
- 3. Attach high-tensile coupling pins: Connect your **G80 safety chain** to the trailer mount and vehicle tow point using rated hammerlocks, pin couplers, or shackles that meet or exceed the heavy-duty 10,600kg capacity.
- 4. Configure dual crossed chains: Set up a matching pair of chains on either side of the drawbar, crossing them tightly underneath the coupling to establish a supportive safety cradle for transport.
- 5. Expose regulatory markings: Align the installation links so the stamped **Grade 80 / 10.6T** compliance codes remain completely unblocked and legible for road transport authority vehicle inspections.
