Make your adventure caravan trips complete with drop-down stabiliser legs. These are different from jacks in that they do not lift the vehicle off its wheels, but (like jacks) only provide stability when the caravan is not in motion.
To ensure stability, secure the drop-down leg at a suitable angle and lock it. The drop-down leg has a winding mechanism, maintained by internal gears. Consequently, your caravan is equipped with the necessary support to prevent rocking.
Pro Tip: Mount the device carefully; the drop-down leg’s winding mechanism can damage the caravan.

Ensure a rock-solid, stable caravan layout and protect your chassis from structural damage by following these essential operation guidelines.
- Level the caravan first: Use drive-on ramps and the jockey wheel to completely level the caravan before winding down the steadies.
- Use support pads: Place heavy-duty plastic or timber pads under the footplates on soft sand, grass, or mud to prevent sinking.
- Lubricate the worm drive: Apply a dry silicone lubricant spray or a light layer of grease to the threaded lead screw every six months.
- Secure before transit: Verify that all four corner steadies are fully wound up and securely locked into their travel positions before moving.
- Distribute weight evenly: Wind all legs down firmly to the ground so the stabilizer load is evenly shared across all four corners.
- Don’t lift the caravan: Never use corner steadies as jacks to lift wheels off the ground for tyre changes; they are for stabilization only.
- Don’t over-torque with drills: Avoid using high-torque impact drivers on the hex nut, as this can strip the gears or bend the internal screw thread.
- Don’t overload the chassis: Avoid winding the legs so tight that you twist the caravan chassis or cause interior doors and cabinets to bind.
- Don’t leave legs unlatched: Never rely solely on the internal screw tension to hold a drop-down-style leg vertically without dropping its locking pin.
- Don’t ignore dirt buildup: Avoid letting thick road grime, saltwater, or red dust bake onto the moving arm linkages and pivot joints.
