What You SHOULD Do (Dos)

✓ Check torque specifications: Tighten all wheel nuts and caliper bolts to the manufacturer’s recommended torque settings after the first 100km of use.
✓ Wash down after saltwater immersion: Thoroughly rinse the galvanised coating with fresh water after every boat ramp launch to maximise the lifespan of the rotor.
✓ Match with compatible brake pads: Use non-asbestos or ceramic brake pads designed specifically for coated trailer rotors to ensure optimal stopping power.

What You SHOULD NOT Do (Don’ts)

✗ Do not submerge when hot: Avoid backing your trailer into cold water immediately after driving; let the 10-inch rotors cool down first to prevent thermal cracking or warping.
✗ Do not machine the galvanised face: Never turn or machine the braking surface of this rotor, as doing so removes the protective zinc layer and causes instant rusting.
✗ Do not mix old and new components: Never install new NSK bearings onto an old, worn axle spindle race, as this will lead to premature bearing failure.
✗ Do not use harsh chemical cleaners: Avoid using acid-based wheel cleaners or heavy solvents that can chemically strip away the galvanised rust protection.
