The 50mm tow ball is a standard towing component, widely used for trailers, caravans, and boats with an Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) of 3,500kg or less.
One of the most straightforward and practical tow hitch options, the 50mm tow ball provides good swivelling and fastening performance.

Safety and Compliance
- Standards: In Australia, the product must comply with Australian Design Rules (ADR 62/01 or ADR 62/02) and AS 4177.2.
- Markings: Compliant balls must be stamped with the manufacturer’s name, the “50” size mark, and the rated capacity.
- Installation: Comes with a spring washer and high-tensile nut. The correct torque for this tow ball is 250Nm, which is critical for safety.
Why Use a Solid Cast Receiver Hitch
Open receivers have a welded tongue that deforms under extreme off-road conditions and during shock-loading events on the highway.
