A 50mm tow ball is a standard towing component, widely used for trailers, caravans, and boats with an Aggregate Trailer Mass (ATM) of 3,500kg or less.

All trailer connections must be tested in accordance with the Motor Vehicle Act of 2018. Couplemate tow balls are tested to comply with AS4771.2.
