Pre-pack the bearings thoroughly: Force high-quality marine or heavy-duty wheel bearing grease into the roller cage before installation.
Inspect your axle shaft: Thoroughly clean and check the spindle for grooves, burrs, or sharp edges that could tear the 492015 rear seal.
Double-check dimensions: Confirm your axle uses parallel 34.9mm bearings (typically 1600kg-rated 45mm/50mm axles) and requires the 43.9mm ID / 59.1mm OD rear seal.

Do not over-tighten the castle nut: Tightening the hub too far damages the bearings. Always back it off slightly to sit the pin correctly and allow the required minimal play.
Do not seat the 492015 seal using direct hammer blows: Avoid striking the seal surface directly. Use a proper seal driver tool or a flat block of wood to press it flush into the hub.
Do not mix grease types: Completely purge old, contaminated grease from the hub cavity before packing with a new batch to avoid thermal breakdown.
