75mm galvanised U-bolts secure jockey wheels to your caravan chassis. A broad range of lengths up to 175mm is now available.

Measure your U-bolts from the inside of the U-bolt. 75mm U-bolts fit 75mm drawbars or chassis rails.

Thread length is 60mm unless specified.
1/2″ BSW threads.

Do’s and Don’ts for Installation & Maintenance

DO

DO measure your chassis rail accurately; the 75mm inside width (W) must perfectly match or closely clear your square box section.
DO use the supplied nyloc or spring nuts to prevent the fastener from backing off due to road vibrations.
DO tighten the nuts evenly in a progressive, alternating sequence to distribute clamping pressure equally across both legs.
DO inspect the torque levels periodically, especially after the first few trips with a new trailer setup.

DON’T

DON’T use square U-bolts on round axles or pipes, as they will not seat correctly and will create dangerous stress points.
DON’T over-tighten the nuts using high-powered impact wrenches, as this can strip the 1/2″ BSW threads or warp the mounting plate.
DON’T reuse old nyloc nuts; once removed, the nylon locking insert loses its effectiveness and the nut must be replaced.
DON’T mix galvanized hardware with raw steel or mismatched metals without isolation, to avoid accelerating galvanic corrosion.
