Over time, cast steel products prove far superior to fabricated/welded alternatives for heavy highway use and rugged outback touring.

When inverted to gain extra height, hollow hitches are significantly more likely to deform. Why does this kit not include a towball?
This kit excludes the towball specifically for owners who are upgrading to an off-road pin articulation system (like a Cruisemaster DO35) or those who wish to reuse their existing, compliant 50mm towball. This saves you from paying for a component you do not need.
Can I invert this hitch to use it as a rise mount?
Yes. Because the Couplemate™ hitch is manufactured from solid cast iron rather than a hollow tube, it can be safely inverted to gain extra clearance height while still retaining its full 3,500kg ATM rating.
How do I know if this hitch matches my vehicle’s capacity?
Hitches are rated for various maximum weights. Always ensure your total trailer weight does not exceed the lowest-rated component of your towing setup. If your vehicle or towbar has a 3.5t rating, your hitch must also match or exceed a 3.5t rating.
