The Couplemate™ Receiver-529S is a Premium-Cast, shorter, adjustable tow hitch, specifically engineered to be the most robust on the Australian market. This adjustable hitch is designed to handle caravans and trailers up to 3500kg ATM. This short, adjustable tow hitch receiver kit is a versatile, reliable option for towing trailers and caravans.

Adjustable short tow hitches let you precisely control tow ball height, which affects drawbar height when attached to the tow vehicle. This flexibility allows you to tow different trailers at varying heights.

The ball mount head provides up to 90 mm of drop and up to 190 mm of rise (from the centre of the tow ball to the centre pin). This is particularly useful for towing applications, from low-boat trailers to high-set camper trailers.

How does this compare to other Adjustable Tow Hitches on the market? Most other tow hitches have a 114mm Rise and a 90mm drop, measuring from the centre pin to the tow ball plate.

When measured this way, the Couplemate™ adjustable tow hitch offers a 140mm rise and a 140mm drop.

Will this short model fit my specific vehicle?This model fits standard 50mm (2-inch) hitch receivers. Please check your bumper drop and spare tyre space since the short shank sits closer to the car.
Can I use this hitch for off-road vehicle recovery?No. This hitch is designed solely for towing trailers. For off-road recovery, always use a dedicated recovery point, such as a rated rear recovery bar or hitch receiver plug.
How do I adjust the height?Remove the heavy-duty pins, slide the channel pull-up or pull-down to your chosen height slot, and lock the pins back in place.
Does it come with a towball?Please check the packing list. Most adjustable hitches require a standard 50mm towball, which you must purchase separately.
