The Do’s (Best Practices)

Do verify fitment: Ensure the hose length and fitting types exactly match your vehicle’s make, model, and year before starting installation.
Do use new washers: Always install fresh copper crush washers on both sides of the banjo fittings to guarantee a leak-free seal.
Do check clearance: Turn your steering lock-to-lock and cycle the suspension fully to confirm the hose doesn’t stretch or rub against tires and chassis parts.
Do bleed thoroughly: Perform a complete brake fluid bleed sequence after installation to remove all trapped air from the hydraulic lines.
Do use a torque wrench: Tighten all banjo bolts and line fittings to the exact manufacturer-recommended torque specifications.

The Don’ts (Things to Avoid)

Don’t twist the hose: Never install the hose with a twist or kink, as this stresses the internal Teflon core and braided jacket.
Don’t reuse old hardware: Never reuse worn crush washers or corroded banjo bolts, as they are prone to high-pressure leaks.
Don’t over-tighten: Avoid over-torquing fittings, which can strip threads, crack banjo bolts, or crush the sealing washers excessively.
Don’t allow sharp bends: Avoid routing the hose around sharp edges or forcing it into tight radii that violate the minimal bend limits.
Don’t drive before testing: Never operate the vehicle on public roads until you have confirmed a firm brake pedal and verified there are zero fluid leaks.
