Marine jockey wheels have been a problem for caravanners and boaters for many years. Believe me, I have tried nearly every jockey wheel.

Like you, I endured blood, sweat and abuse until I found this little beauty. It was a delight to try the auto-retract jockey wheel.

Finally, a retract jockey wheel that works. However, there is a problem with the mounting holes as they do not fit 4″ or larger chassis rails.

Solution: We decided the U-bolts did not work effectively.

I decided to drag out the battery drill and replace the u-bolts with 4 x hex head galvanised self-tapping screws.

After 6 months and a lot of use, this Al-ko jockey wheel performed better than expected.

Of all the jockey wheels on the market, and I have many to choose from, this Al-ko auto retract is the best for me.
